Last year we achieved the following:
- A total of £4,651,962 approved for investment across the County by the Football Foundation and other local partners into new facilities for football.
- Over 130 people qualified as referees following attendance at courses organised by our Referee Development Officer and training officers.
- 28 people achieved the Level 2 coaching certificate and over 372 people gained accreditation as Level 1 coaches.
- Coaches Association has over 300 members
- Around £30,000 distributed to support clubs, schools, festivals, competitions, coaches and referees through FA and other partnership funding.
- Development of our network of our Charter Standard Clubs across the County with 10 Community Clubs, 49 Clubs and 38 Adult Clubs.
- Grand Prix football continues to develop in strength for Special Schools across the County.
- We have now established an Ability Counts League in the East for adults with special needs.
- Our County Sports Partnership continues to provide competitive opportunities for girls through our secondary schools grand prix.
- The Girls' Centre of Excellence continues with a full-time fixture schedule competing against other centres.
- Our girls football league continues to grow with 60 teams in Cambridge and a further 60 in Fenland.
- Further development and growth of our County Women's League.
- Hopebridge City FC continues to generate opportunities for those from disadvantaged groups ; refugees, ethnic minority groups, homeless and mental health groups.
We hope to continue to strengthen this work and develop more initiatives to further develop all aspects of football across the County.
