The Emergency Aid course is a three hour workshop which offers basic advice on how to preserve life, limit the effects of an injury and promote recovery. Topics include mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, heart-lung resuscitation, control of bleeding, dressing wounds, minimising shock, dealing with choking and heart attacks.
The FA strongly recommends that each club has a person who holds the Emergency Aid qualification in attendance at every game. The certificate is valid for three years and, after expiry, you must attend another course to update your qualification.
Courses are available throughout the year and new dates are added to the programme subject to demand.
