Please note the following requirements for attending the Level 3 course.

• To achieve the 1st 4 Sport Level 3 in coaching football, candidates must attend all related sessions and acquire the required number of training and tutor contact hours as well as showing competence in all units.

• Training bursaries may be available to individuals working within Clubs that are Charter Standard or show intent on becoming Charter Standard within a defined time period. Contact the Football Development team for further details.

  •  Before booking please make sure you, as the candidate, or the candidate you are booking on to the course is available to attend ALL the dates, as booking on to the course will restrict the places available to other candidates.
  •  Wherever possible individuals should book themselves on to the course, not a secretary or representative of the club/organisation. This reduces the number of errors in booking unsuitable dates and confusion that passing dates on can cause.
  • We advise that candidates pay for their own course and, where the club/organisation has offered to pay the cost this is reimbursed by the club/organisation on completion of the course. This ensures a great level of commitment from the candidate in attending all the sessions.
  • To secure a place on the course each person must book and pay through the "Book & Pay Online" link available on the right hand side of this page under "Related Links".
  •  Cancelations after 10 days prior to the course starting will not be eligible for a refund unless in exceptional circumstances (e.g. illness with a supporting letter from a GP). Cancellations 10 days or more before the start of the course will lose their deposit but will be eligible for a partial refund.
  • Candidates who decide to withdraw from a course, either before or during the running of the course, are asked to advise Cambridgeshire FA of their intentions as soon as possible. The number of people attending the sessions on Level 3 courses has a major impact on the structure of the course and whether we are able to proceed with the sessions. This is particularly important for continuation and assessment days so please let us know if you cannot attend, to avoid disappointment for your fellow coaches.

Pre requisites:

Candidates must have successfully completed the Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Football and are responsible for ensuring that they attend / have attended:-

1. FA, St John's British Red Cross or other HSE approved Emergency Aid course; and

2. FA Safeguarding Children Workshop

(Both these courses last 3 years from the date of certification.)

Candidates requiring these courses should book them well in advance of the Level 3 course final assessment, to ensure they are ready to be assessed.

Booking instructions are available on the "Emergency Aid" and "Safeguarding Children & Welfare Officer Workshops" pages.
