S-TECH CAMBS GIRLS LEAGUE
The Cambridgeshire Girls League sponsored by S-Tech continues to go from strength to strength. Offering clubs the opportunity to compete from under 10's through to under 17's. This season we have introduced the U17's league to support the move up from youth to adult football. Following the changes we made last season, with the league is offering both 9 v 9 competition as well as 11 v 11 at under 13 age groups and above, the league continues to grow and progress to support the female game. S-TECH CAMBS WOMEN'S LEAGUE
This league has developed as an exit route from our girls league and continues to grow with more clubs joining. This league feeds into the Eastern Region Women's League offering clubs the opportunity to progress along the women's pyramid system. Last seasons winner Yaxley accepted promotion to the Eastern Region Northern division whilst the Cambs League welcomed a new team from Eaton Socon. PRIMARY SCHOOL LEAGUE
The Girls Primary School competition is now in the form of festivals hosted by the parent senior schools, with sports leaders gaining a Junior Football Organisers award following training and running the festivals. This will be followed by district finals and county finals where teams will be invited to attend. We are hoping that once again various schools from across the County take part. In addition schools will have the opportunity to arrange extra friendly fixtures between each other during the school year.
SECONDARY SCHOOLS COMPETITIONS
Cambs FA have been running a girls' grand prix competition for secondary schools for a number of years now and each year sees an increase in the number of schools and girls attending. This year, as there are other competitions offered by the ESFA and Competitions Managers, Cambs FA are concentrating on the year 7's under 12s. The aim is to attract new players, that may not have had the opportunity to play at primary school, and encouraging them to join local clubs. Tournaments are taking place in October, November, February, March and April.
A report and tables can be found in the related documents column to the right of this page.
