At Cambridgeshire FA and at clubs all over the County there are opportunities to volunteer from the age of 14 years onwards.
Volunteering is for everyone; you do not need previous experience to take part. You don't have to be sporty or athletic to get involved! There are opportunities for all - regardless of age or ability. Volunteering is extremely rewarding.
Aged 14 to 22 years ?
Cambridgeshire FA run a Young Leaders Group which provides workshops, courses and events at which to volunteer. For more details go to our Young Leaders page.
Our Young Leaders group is linked into the Youth Sport Trust Step into Sport Passort scheme, so if you have registered through your school you can also log any hours you volunteer through us and we can verify that for you.
Clubs
Clubs are always looking for volunteers to help with coaching, or on the committee, running the tea bar, refreeing, assistant refereeing (running the line!), marketing and fund raising. Whatever your background, experiences, interests are clubs will welcome any support you can offer. For a club local to you you can visit the find a club page or contact us here at Cambridgeshire FA. One thing is for sure if you offer your help it will be appreciated!

Aspire
Cambridge City council also run a volunteer programme called Aspire.
Becoming an Aspire Volunteer allows you the opportunity to follow a continuous development path into accredited training and could improve your prospects for further education or employment. You can expect many opportunities from the Aspire programme including:
- advice and guidance from the volunteer co-ordinator on how to make the most of volunteering;
- ongoing support to help you look for openings to use your voluntary work as a way of gaining relevant skills and work experience;
- the chance to be involved in exciting local and regional events;
- learining leadership skills and gaining experience working in a team;
- a range of activities held for the Aspire volunteers to network;
- shadowing and mentoring opportunities.
