Many different communities from Cambridge and the surrounding area came together to celebrate their common passion for football and great fun was had by all.
Teams chose their favourite country to represent and were given coloured Mini World Cup T-shirts to play in making for a vibrant scene and a buzzing atmosphere on the common.
Teams played in group stages initially with the top teams going through to the knockout stages of the cup. A new introduction for 2010 was a shield competition for some of the next placed teams which gave more teams the chance of taking a trophy away and more importantly getting a few more games.
The winners of the cup and shield and the runners up of the cup can be found below.
Ivory Coast did particularly well winning three of the six categories and coming runners up in another…will the results of our Mini World Cup reflect the outcome of the 2010 FIFA World Cup?
