Meet the FA Tesco Skills Coaches

1:26 PM, Monday, 09 August 10. Clubs

From September 2010 Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire will have a team of FA Tesco Skills Coaches working with 5-11 year olds in schools, clubs and skills centres across the County.

Observe the coaches in action:

15th Sept 2010.  6.30pm-8.30pm @ Cambs FA/ Histon Recreation Ground, Bridge Road, Impington, Cambs, CB24 9PH

The FA Tesco Skills Programme aims to get children active whilst developing the future of football in England.

Sir Trevor Brooking, a founder of the programme, stated: “We’ve got to give every 5 to 11-year-old in England the opportunity to play and enjoy the game. And if they want to get better, we need to show them how.”

The FA Tesco Skills Coaches have been trained to become experts in all aspects of working with 5-11-year-old children.

The coaches deliver leading-edge technical football coaching, and have been trained to focus on meeting children's learning and individual needs, whatever their ability level. This means the Skills Programme is truly child-centred, inclusive and most importantly, fun.

We would like to invite you to meet the skills coaches and see them in action.  The skills coaches will be working with a group of players from Histon Hornets FC. This is a great opportunity to observe some fantastic coaches in action and get some ideas to take back to your club.  There will also be the opportunity to ask questions and to find out what The FA Tesco Skills Coaches will be doing in your area and how they can help your club.

To book your place:  Please email Jo Bull, Cambridgeshire FA Football Development Officer, Joanne.Bull@CambridgeshireFA.com or call 01223 209035
