Partners & Sponsors

    •
The Cambridgeshire Football Association relies heavily on funding from The Football Association to carry out its remit to administer and develop grass roots football in Cambridgeshire. However, we also welcome sponsorship from the national and local business communities in order to offer football opportunities to all at a reasonable cost, so securing the long term future of football in the County.

The Association's very first sponsor was Colin Brown of the Tyre Service Company in Histon Road, Cambridge who, in 1980, agreed to support the Cambridgeshire Premier League.  Since then the Association has forged long-standing partnerships with a variety of sponsors across a wide field of football activities in the County.

At national level, the County values the support offered by Nike to enable and develop grass roots football. In Cambridgeshire Nike supports the County through the supply of clothing & equipment for staff & local projects.

At a local level, many of the County Cups are sponsored by local companies who have enjoyed long standing partnerships with the Cambridgeshire FA:

Ridgeons sponsor the Invitation Cup

S-Tech Insurance sponsor the Women's Invitation Cup and Women's Junior Invitation Cup

Barham & Sons sponsor the Cliff Bullen Challenge Cup

C J Murfitt sponsor the Sunday Centenary Cup

The Highfield Event Group sponsor the Pye Youth Challenge Cup and the Munns Youth Challenge Cup

Cambridge News supports & publicises the County's Respect & Fair Play Award, now in its 11th year.

The County Association also runs a number of Leagues:

The Cambridgeshire County League is played on Saturdays

Kershaw Mechanical Services sponsor the top three divisions, and their respective league cups. The Cambridgeshire FA and the Cambridge-based company, who began their sponsorship deal in 1991, have been working together for 25 years and this could possibly be the longest standing partnership of its type in the country!

Mead Plant and Grab sponsor the lower divisions

Girls and Women:

S-Tech Insurance sponsor the Cambridgeshire Women's & Girls' Leagues and their league cups

Adcock Refrigeration sponsor the Girls' Advanced Coaching Centre

Cambridgeshire 9 v 9 Youth League at U12s was introduced in 2009/2010 and it is sponsored by sponsor Barry Kempton of B.M. Kempton car body repairs.

Sponsorship Opportunities

The range of opportunities to provide sponsorship through football may be surprising and refreshing in the varying costs involved and the scope and variety in what we are looking to have sponsored.

The obvious opportunities are in sponsoring Leagues and Cup competitions as well as individual clubs.

In addition there are opportunities to sponsor:

  • Tournaments such as  Next Generation Festivals
  • Referees
  • Cambridgeshire FA Youth Council
  • The Cambridgeshire Flexi Football Programme

Whether you are a small one man business or a large regional, national or international company we believe we can offer you a sponsorship package to suit your profile and requirements whilst benefiting grassroots football and the local community.
