Schools and Clubs Link to Share the Benefits of Football Coaching Cambridgeshire FA supports the links between schools and local clubs through the FA Tesco Skills Programme. By linking the coaching and playing opportunities the children benefit from regular football training and matches, helping to grow the game and level of skill across the county.

School club Links will include a minimum of 6 weeks of FREE coaching, in a suitable catchment school, with age groups selected based on the clubs' requirements.  This is usually determined based on the development of a new team but is occasionally considered where an existing team is in need of additional players.

The FA Tesco Skills team will then follow up the school sessions with a minimum of 6 weeks FREE coaching in the club to provide continuity for the players between the school and club sessions.  The school and club coaches benefit from the link, receiving coaching advice and guidance from the Skills team.
