FA Level 1

The FA Level 1 in Coaching Football

The FA Level 1 is the first step on the FA Coach Education Pathway. If you want to start or are currently coaching football, and wish to learn more, this is the perfect course for you.

The course provides a high quality learning experience by providing a modern and flexible course design that is led by skilled and dedicated FA Tutors who adopt a learner-centred approach.
It will provide you with your first taste of The FA’s playing and coaching philosophy – the England DNA - through the four key components; How We Coach, How We Support, The Future Player and How We Play.

On completion of the course you will achieve the 1st4sport Level 1 Award in Coaching Football qualification. This will enable you to coach confidently and competently in your own environment. The course will also provide you with coaching ideas and ingredients to enable you to proactively build, develop and extend a series of coaching practices to create a coaching session.

Please Note: You will be required to complete online modules in order to complete the FA Level 1.

The Learning Management System (LMS) is your new home for The FA Level 1 coaching course. LMS provides you with the ability to view available courses, enrol onto them and manage your online learning profile. Course specific content is available within your learning environment such as e-learning modules and details of your course face-to-face sessions.

The online modules need to be completed for you to achieve the FA Level 1. To access the new LMS system visit learning.thefa.com and log in and out using your FAN & password. If there are any issues please contact katie.critchley@cambridgeshirefa.com.
