The 2017-2018 season may not have started at an electric pace for Cambridge United FC, but Shaun Derry’s men have certainly found their stride as the campaign has developed.
Roughly a third of the way through and the team are gathering momentum. Sitting just 3 points outside of the playoff positions, the remainder of the season will undoubtedly be an exciting one to watch unfold.
In excess of 4,000 people have attended the clubs home fixtures this year, and official sponsors Mick George Ltd are keen to do their part in increasing those figures, which may prove vital in any promotion push.
The local business has vowed to supply local Colts football teams from around Cambridgeshire with up to 20 complimentary match-day tickets per game. The seats are located in the Mundipharma Community Stand. Tickets are available to players, managers and parents, with Mick George Ltd selecting the fortunate winners at random for each fixture.
To apply for the match tickets, simply fill out the details requested at www.mickgeorge.co.uk/colts-tickets.
Jon Stump, Finance Director at Mick George Ltd commented: ‘’You only have to look at the youngsters that are breaking in to the first team at Cambridge United FC to recognise the importance in youth being exposed to football at higher levels. Due to other commitment or perhaps financial reasons, that isn’t always possible. We hope that this opportunity overcomes any of those issues.’’
Stump Continued: ‘’We have many partnerships with senior teams at grass-roots, so thought it would be good to spread these relations throughout the differing tiers of the respective clubs.’’
