Living Sports Awards 2019

Nominations now open!

Nominations for the Living Sport Sports Awards for 2019 are now open.

The awards aim to recognise and celebrate the achievements of talented sportsmen and women and teams, the significant contribution made by coaches and volunteers to the development of their sport, and the organisations and clubs from all across the county who are using sport and physical activity to have a positive impact on people’s lives.

There is an array of awards such as Coach of the Year, Community Club of the Year and Community Volunteer of the Year.  With community sport continuing to flourish across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Living Sport is expecting to receive a high volume of quality nominations.  To nominate someone you know please complete the form here. You can also find a full list of available awards here.

Commenting on the Awards, Simon Fairhall, Chief Executive of Living Sport said “our Awards have been developed to link more closely with our work to improve health and wellbeing by supporting people to get active, increasingly recognising the contribution of sport to wider outcomes of physical wellbeing, mental wellbeing, social and community development, economic development and personal development.  These Awards are a highlight of our year and are a fantastic opportunity to recognise the outstanding contribution made by people and organisations and the positive impact that participating in sport and physical activity can have” .

Nominations will close on the 20th September 2019; a judging panel will then shortlist nominees for each award who will then be invited to the Sports Awards Evening on Thursday 28th November 2019 at the Burgess Hall in St Ives. It is a truly inspirational event and a great chance to celebrate the hard work, dedication and commitment of the various members of our sporting community over the last year.

There is no limit to how many nominations you can submit. To find out more about the awards or read about past winners visit the Living Sport website.
