Speaking about the launch of the project Squeeze Football, said "Squeeze has been vocal about mental health, particularly in men, for almost as long as we have been around (since April 2017. It is something we have slowly built up alongside our football coverage but the biggest thing for us was making sure it was action not just words from our platform. The opportunity to work with Cambs FA brings together two huge platforms involved in local football. These sessions will provide a safe space for men and hopefully over time will grow and make a real impact"

Sarah Hudson, Cambridgeshire FA Football Development Officer, said "We're really excited to start this project, in what has been a peculiar time for everyone. We feel that football can be used as a focus for participants, and we want to use these sessions to offer an opportunity for all local footballers,. These sessions are inclusive and for individuals who have had challenges with their mental health. We hope to expand our provision as times goes on, and be able to support individuals from all areas of the county."
