Youth Development Group start 2024-25 season activities
The Youth Development Group recently participated in the Cambourne Town Tournament on the 1st of September to collect valuable data for a Youth Voice survey. The aim is to better understand the needs and perspectives of young people in the community.
They spoke to players of all ages and young referees and received over 70 responses to their questions, which will help inform future decisions on youth football.
Youth Development Group Chair, Izzy King, said: Engaging with young people directly at events like the Cambourne Town Tournament is essential for us to understand their views and needs. This survey will play a crucial role in shaping future youth programs."
The Youth Development Group have several aims this season, including:
- Support clubs with the diversity code
- Support thriving clubs to start in club youth forums
- Upskill training – Disability football pathway, walking football and EDI related
- Launch of the Passport scheme
Cambridgeshire FA Football Development Officer (Inclusion), Ryan Kay, said: "We are looking forward to an exciting year ahead for the Cambridgeshire FA Youth Development Group with some great projects and training to be taken. We are looking for more people to join the group and make an impact in the county."
