This series focuses on 1-v-1 drills that incorporate a range of skill-based attacking and defending scenarios for players to improve their awareness, confidence and ability.
In this particular drill, both players begin on either side of the halfway line. It is up to the designated attacker to choose which way to shoot. Once that decision has been made, they must run in the opposite direction to that goal and make their way around the allocated cone before entering the field of play. The defender must also round their cone before entering play but must do so in the opposing direction to the attacker. This drill tests ball control, ball skills and shooting accuracy.
