Coronavirus -Cambridgeshire Grassroots Football Update
As of 17th March 2020, all grassroots football will be postponed across Cambridgeshire until further notice.
Following the Government’s announcement yesterday, for people to avoid social contact and gatherings where possible, and after advice from The FA we have now postponed all grassroots football in Cambridgeshire for the foreseeable future.
Friendly football and training is likely not to be covered by any insurance policies you have due to the current situation. Please be aware these may also be considered as social gatherings and the implications this will have inline with the Government advice.
The current advice for everyone is below:
- Public Health England guidance should be read and followed.
- Stay at home for 7 days if you have either:
a high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
a new, continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly
- If you live with other people, they should stay at home for 14 days from the day the first person got symptoms
- If you have symptoms do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.
- You do not need to contact 111 to tell them you're staying at home.
- Testing for coronavirus is not needed if you're staying at home.
