First Coaching Workshop of 2024 - Coaching Disabled Footballers

Cambridgeshire FA are delighted to invite you to the next FREE coaching CPD session of the 2023/24 season!

Our first CPD session of 2024 will focus on coaching disabled footballers.

This sessions aims to upskill and help develop coaches to create a more inclusive/positive playing environment.

What is a disabled footballer?

A disabled footballer may be somebody with physical and neurological needs that play within a mainstream or in a disability friendly environment. This may include any of the below.

Physical Disabilities

  • Disabilities that effect mobility - amputation, cerebral palsy, stroke and multiple sclerosis
  • Hearing impairment
  • Visually impairment - colour blindness, partially sighted and low level of sight.
  • Other physical needs

Neurological Disabilities

  • ADHD/Behavioural needs
  • Autistic spectrum 
  • Low level of social interaction 
  • Slow global delay
  • Any other neurological needs

This is a great chance for those looking to progress along the coaching pathway to gain two CPD hours towards their qualifications.

Date and Time: Wednesday 10th January 2024 (7pm-9pm please arrive at 6:45pm to take your seats.)  
Venue: Cambridgeshire FA HQ, Cambs FA HQ, Bridge Road, Impington, Cambridgeshire, CB24 9PH 

We will have a short 30 second walk over to the practical session.
