Upcoming Club Assistant Referee Workshops

Support your teams with Assistant Referee training.

Cambridgeshire FA are running a series of club Assistant Referee Workshops.

The latest events, scheduled for 22nd August at Cambourne Town FC starting a 7pm.

The session will be up to 90 minutes long and is available to anyone who has an interest in "running the line". Whether you are the chosen volunteer on a weekly basis who is handed the flag or have never even had a go, come along to this fun and interactive session.

Sessions will be FREE and all participants will receive a certificate of attendance (although there is no formal qualification).

Topics covered will include: what to do (and what not to do!) with the flag, how to signal, basic decision making, positioning, and plenty of opportunities to apply the techniques in a practical setting out on the pitch.

Cambridgeshire FA Referee Development Officer, Jack Badcock, said: "To improve the matchday experience for all we are offering these workshops to support the volunteer workforce in our clubs. We are extremely grateful for anyone who gives up their time to act as a Club Assistant Referee week in and week out and we hope they benefit from these sessions."
