Walking Football Festival

In partnership with Hunts FA and The Bobby Moore Fund

Cambridgeshire FA working alongside Hunts FA have partnered with The Bobby Moore Fund to host a festival day to support and raise money for the charity.

Festival Details:

  • Venue: One Leisure, St Neots, PE19 2SA
  • Date: Sunday, 8th September 2019, 12-3:30pm
  • Entry Fee: £25 per team

Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. The Bobby Moore Fund for Cancer Research UK was set up by Stephanie Moore MBE, Bobby’s widow, in his memory to fund pioneering, life-saving bowel cancer research.

Now in its 26th year, the fund has raised over £26 million and continues to go from strength to strength. Since Bobby’s death, mortality rates for bowel cancer have fallen by more than 30%, but sadly it still kills 44 people in the UK every day, so we still have so much more to do.

The festival will enable new and existing individuals to participate in walking football, through a friendly open age (16+ years) round robin format tournaments (5 a-side).

Entry is open to all, whether you’re an existing walking football team, club, business, league officials, NHS staff, community group or other!

To enter a team please contact Ashley Dean via email Ashley.Dean@CambridgeshireFA.Com or telephone 01223 209034. Alternatively, you can complete and return the registration form (click here to download)

Fundraising will take place on the day and we look forward to a great event, which will be full of fun for the whole family, while also making a positive impact on a great cause.

As part of our fundraising activities we are looking to hold a raffle to raise money, if you are able to donate any prizes for the raffle please contact  Ashley.Dean@CambridgeshireFA.Com
